Meet Kuniko!
Sometimes I wish there were more of me...one for facebook, one for blogger, one for emails, one for running my household, and one for for making dolls (I volunteer for the last one!).
Who can ever find enough time for everything? On top of all of that, I have to spell check everything because of my broken English and also try to get past my disdain for that lovely thing we call a computer, grr. I have no idea how some of you do it all!
Sorry for my rant  Moving on....
Here are a few photos of my new doll, Kuniko! Be sure to scroll down to view the video with all the detail...

The Legend of the Fairy Seamstress
In a land far, far away...well, for them anyway since they're so tiny. I'm talking about my fairy prices and princesses...Okay, back to the story: in a land far, far away, lives a tiny little fairy. No one ever notices her at all, really. She is a lonely seamstress making all the clothes for the grand fairy kingdom. One day, she found a magical crown. You might think that the crown transformed her into a Princess. But instead...she turned into a human!

just a thought
It is very interesting to me after so many years I've been making dolls still all of them are so different to me. Usually I start with an idea next thing I know it takes me totally somewhere else. A beautiful journey .I do not like to create a doll twice I feel so different each time I make one I know I'm not much of words I don't like to write and it is very hard for me to write on my blog or FBP I much rather show pictures of what I'm doing. Things sure have changed over the years with the Internet reaching so many more mothers wanting that perfect companion for their child I can just imagine where my little darlings go, hopefully peace and love will surround them and bring happiness to a lot of children .I can assure you by the time they are leaving to go on there big journey it is with lots of positive energy and tender loving care

A Story Alexander Wrote
A Story Alexander Wrote
Once upon a time, in a far-away land, there lived a little princess. She took care of all the fairies, dwarves and other magical creatures of the forest. They loved her because of this. But one day, she was gone! No trace left, no evidence whatsoever. The villagers suspected that the evil wizard in the mansion on the dark cliff was responsible, so they went out to investigate. When they got there, they had to contend with various tricks and traps designed to capture them too! There was a three-headed wolf and poison tipped magical homing arrows and even a giant boulder, but they were able to get through it okay. In the deepest, darkest corner of the mansion, the found they wizard trying to get the magical gem off of the princess's necklace! Seeing the brigade of fair-folk opposing him, he grabbed his magic wand and waved it around, turning it into a blade of steel! Just when all hope seemed lost, the princess sneaked away and called her magical flying unicorn, who burst through the stained-glass window and kicked the wand out of the wizard's hands! Riding off on the unicorn's back, the princess and her friends flew off back to the Garden of Nature where they would be safe...
Meanwhile, the wizard, angry about his defeat, decided to play a bit dirty. He waved his wand, it sprayed a black flame from its tip as he twirled it over a monstrous ogre. It grew to gargantuan size! The wizard was sure that this would get the magic gem back to his castle so he could power his army of stone warriors to ensure his conquest of the Garden of Nature. A terrible black fog covered the ground as the wizard approached the forest from the wastes that he built his castle on. The fairies and gnomes knew what was happening so they prepared the defenses to keep the ogre from taking the princess. The trees swayed and the ground shook as the beast stomped through the forest, swatting away the arrows the brave dwarves were shooting at it. The princess thought of a plan. She would ride on her unicorn and have it stand on and fly around the ogre, dodging its attacks. As she did this, the dumb ogre struck its own head trying to get the princess! The wizard tried to convince the ogre to ignore her, but the beast simply fell to the ground, unconscious. The fog faded as the wizard gave up and ran like a bratty child back to his lair. The fair-folk cheered for the princess and her unicorn. The forest was saved!

The doll, a child's companion
The doll as a companion of the child
What does a doll do for a baby? It is his silent companion, who witnessed everything is happy - to be sad - laugh or cry to. This means that witnessed the child with his imaginative experiences, moods and feelings in the doll again, or even. The doll laughs, cries, is happy or sad.
Who is now the ever smiling face of a stiff perfect presents in detail shaped plastic doll that can understand that it is difficult for a child's imagination, such a doll zb leave to grieve. Waldorf dolls are designed for precisely this reason only very cautiously. Eyes and mouth are only hinted at, there are no long eyelashes, or googly eyes.
If a child with such a doll "communicate", the fantasy forces, they can literally participate in all life experiences can be - even in their emotional range.
The material is another aspect is the softness and warmth of the cloth doll, she is often put in the arm ... bedded with the doll ... is pressed and cuddled. it consists not of cold plastic but made from natural materials. Body and head are covered with solid processed cotton tricot, my Waldorf dolls are stuffed with pure wool. For the hair, I use either mohair or wool, but also smooth embroidered hair. The clothes are mostly made from materials organic cotton. My Fairywool Dolls can be washed if it is too heavily soiled .

A Community Prayer Shawl for Anna
Blessings everyone,

I'm starting a prayer shall for Anna, a little girl with spinal cancer. Her Mother and I started getting to know each other after I made her a doll. Both she and Anna are both very close to my heart. I've never made a shawl before, so please email if you would like to help.
I will get started with my son who will knit a few rows as well, then we will send it to the next person who will knit a few rows of prayer and positive energy!
Thank you so much Blessing and Peace to all,
Gabi

Anna's Doll
I'm not quite sure how to blog :/ I definitely make better dolls than I do blog posts. But I will give it my best. And, just remember, I SPEAK better English than I write it. Thank God for spell check!
Sometimes I feel like I could make so many dolls and I sit by my table and I start to draw pictures and write things down (Otherwise I forget everything and then I just sit there and I can do nothing but stare out of the window).
Then I got this email from a little girls Mother asking if I could make her daughter a Waldorf doll similar to one she saw on my site. I say, "Sure, I be happy to do so!". Well, let me get to the point... the girl's name is Anna. Anna has Cancer. When her Mom wrote to me and said she has not seen her daughter get this excited in a long time to over anything, it made me think that now I know why I make dolls.
